Poland: We can be the country that allocates the most defense in NATO
Morawiecki and Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak visited the 18th Mechanized Division in Siedlce, in the east of the country.
Referring to Poland’s military spending, Morawiecki said: “Our government prioritizes increasing the strength of the Polish armed forces and we would like to see more NATO soldiers in the country.” saying.
“INVESTMENTS WILL CONTINUE”
Underlining that they will continue to invest in the Polish military due to the Ukraine-Russia war, Morawiecki said: “We will make an unprecedented effort this year. We will spend 4 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) on the Polish armed forces. This could be the highest percentage of military spending among all NATO member states.” he said.
Poland made a series of large-scale military purchases last year, including Abrams tanks and HIMARS rocket launchers from the US, and howitzers, tanks and planes from South Korea. (AA)
