Muslims in Denmark protest the burning of the Koran
The organization held in front of the Turkish Embassy in Copenhagen was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Copenhagen, Rıza Hakan Tekin, representatives of non-governmental organizations, Turkish and foreign citizens.
The program, which began with the greeting address by Ambassador Tekin, continued with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an. Verses from the Holy Qur’an were also read in Danish. Citizens of Denmark carried Turkish flags in their hands.
In the press release about the show, it was stated that Paludan’s burning of the Quran in front of a mosque and the Turkish embassy in Copenhagen was never acceptable and unacceptable.

In the statement, Paludan’s action was described as a shameful event in terms of respect for faith and the sacred, saying: “The Quran is a source of healing and mercy, which was sent to lead the land out of darkness to the light, which has no doubts, guides humanity on the right path and direction, it is a holy book full of judgment and wisdom.” Expressions were used.
Pointing out that Muslims are members of a faith and a civilization that respects all kinds of beliefs, embraces human rights, freedoms and universal values, and rejects violence, evil, insults and attacks against members of different religions , the statement says that after Sweden and the Netherlands, it was emphasized that the crime committed and the attitude exhibited against the Quran is a lack of respect and disrespect towards Muslims. The statement noted:
“Therefore, we condemn this barbaric attitude, which is not in accordance with human dignity. We also call on all intellectuals, academics, non-governmental organizations, members of the media and sensible people who believe in law and human rights, care about respect for faith and social peace, to react and take the initiative against this heinous attack. We invite the authorities to take the necessary measures in the face of this ugly behavior and such provocations.”

PALUDAN WAS BURNING THE KORAN
