Putin drank champagne with his soldiers and delivered a message
As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, Russian President Vladimir Putin celebrated his people’s New Year yesterday with an address to the nation.
Saying that Russia declared war on Ukraine to protect itself, Putin claimed that Western countries are also using Ukraine.

Putin’s speech became the agenda of international public opinion.
Speaking about the war that has been going on for more than 10 months, Putin said: “They are trying to divide Russia by weakening it by using Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.” Putin celebrated the new year by drinking champagne with soldiers on camera in a speech he delivered shortly after Russia’s attack on the Ukrainian capital kyiv killed one person and wounded eight.
In this speech, which has been recorded as the longest speech by Putin, who has ruled the country for more than 20 years, Putin said of the Donbas region: “History is on our side in this war. “Russia is protecting the people on its historic borders in this war,” he said.
In his speech, Putin said: “The West is trying to isolate Russia, but it is failing. Those who waged a sanctions war against us expected our industry, economy, and transportation to collapse. But that didn’t happen,” he said.
