14-year-old boy killed his brother by mistaking him for a pig

It turned out that a family of 11 boys working as herders in the rural town of Mantra, near Greece’s capital Athens, shot and killed their 17-year-old brother, whose 14-year-old son was out hunting wild boar. mistaking him for a pig and shooting him in the head.

The 14-year-old boy, who was detained by police after the incident that shocked the country, was reported to have confessed his crime at the Juvenile Court of the Athens High Prosecutor’s Office.

His brother, with whom he was going hunting, was said to have disappeared, handing him the rifle, and said: “I had the rifle, your brother said he was going to take care of the pigs from another place, and he left, when suddenly a movement of the bushes, I fired, I was excited, scared, then I saw that he had shot my brother, I asked my family for help”.

Although the boy’s father, who was arrested, has been released, it is said that his trial for carrying a weapon without a license and killing his brother is continuing.
