Clarence Thomas is a role model for an America where nothing matters

About the publisher: I admire Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for his independence. He enjoys lavish gifts from his friend Harlan Crow, a billionaire Republican donor with no criminal charges. He has not disclosed any of these gifts on his financial disclosure forms, as required by law.
What a hero! Thomas ignored the rules that limit petty judges. He accepted the gifts he wanted without regard to public perception or responsibility. He followed the advice of unnamed colleagues and others who said he should not reveal anything.
Some might say that Thomas is undermining the Supreme Court’s credibility and calling for an impeachment trial. But I say he is a role model. He shows us how to be free from morality and transparency. He shows us how to be loyal to our friends and benefactors.
Thank you, Judge Thomas, for your service and example. You are truly an inspiration.

About the publisher: A testosterone-fueled senate rejected allegations of sexual misconduct against Thomas during his confirmation hearings, and he took a seat in court in 1991.
Thomas’s wife worked behind the scenes to overturn the 2020 election to keep Donald Trump in office without consequences.
Now we learn that Thomas has accepted lavish gifts from a right-wing donor.
The Supreme Court is barely impartial and Thomas is anything but the Supreme Court. Ethics reform at the country’s highest court is long overdue.

About the publisher: Maybe people remember Anita Hill’s claims and believe her this time when they read about lavish vacations and the fact that Thomas didn’t declare his wife’s earnings from 2003 to 2007.

About the publisher: I’d be more comfortable with Thomas’s “friendship” with Crow if, instead of luxury travel on private jets with five-star accommodations and $500 bottles of wine, he befriended a man who took him on a mosquito-infested fishing trip where they shared a room in a Motel 6 and drank Bud Light.
