Transport Minister: Ankara-Istanbul will be reduced to 1.5 hours

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, stated that the transport between Ankara and Istanbul will start a new era with the super high-speed train: “This will be a completely new line and the travel time will be 89 minutes, or 1.5 hours, with the super high-speed train line to be built between Ankara and Istanbul,” he used the phrase.

Karaismailoğlu stated in his written statement that a new train line between Ankara and Istanbul is planned.

‘350 KM PER HOUR WILL BE SPEED’

Karaismailoğlu gave the following information about the project:

“This will be a completely new line. The line will be built on the Ankara Nallıhan and Sakarya route. We carry out the feasibility and prepare the projects. The length of the super high-speed train line will be 344 kilometers.

The train will reach a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The travel time with the super high-speed rail line to be built between Ankara and Istanbul will be 89 minutes, or 1.5 hours. We will start our project after the elections. We will continue to use our existing high-speed rail line.”

Karaismailoğlu said: “The goals of our country are great. That is why we will sign bigger projects. We have already planned for them. With our megaprojects we will continue to support our economy, employment, industry and exports in the future, as we did yesterday. We will stand hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder as a nation,” he said. (AA)
