Max Verstappen takes victory in the Las Vegas Grand Prix
In the Formula 1 World Championship, Dutch Red Bull Racing star Max Verstappen won the exciting Las Vegas Grand Prix.
In the 50-lap race held on the 6.2-kilometer-long Las Vegas Strip Track in the state of Nevada, Verstappen surpassed his rivals and took first place with a time of 1:29:08.289 . Drivers’ category leader Verstappen, who further improved his record by reaching the podium for the 18th time this season, continued his successful performance.
Verstappen, who achieved the 53rd victory of his F1 career, thus tied with the German driver Sebastian Vettel and rose to third place among the drivers with the most race victories of all time. In this ranking he is only followed by Lewis Hamilton (103) and Michael Schumacher (91).
Charles Leclerc, of the Ferrari team, finished the race in second place, 2,070 seconds behind the leader Verstappen, while the Mexican Sergio Pérez, of Red Bull, came third with a difference of 2,241 seconds.
The last race of the season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, will be held on Sunday, November 26.
