The CEV 2023 Men’s Volleyball European Championship begins

The CEV 2023 Men’s European Volleyball Championship, organized by Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Israel, will start tomorrow with a single match.

The opening match of the tournament, in which the men’s volleyball Team A will also compete, will be played between Italy and Belgium, hosts of Group A, at 10:00 p.m.

The stars of the crescent from Group D, organized by Israel, will face France in their first match on Wednesday, August 30 at 5:00 p.m.

24 TEAMS WILL FIGHT IN 4 GROUPS

In the tournament, 24 teams divided into 4 groups will compete.

At the end of the group competitions, the 16 teams in the top 4 will advance to the round of 16.

In the last 16 rounds, where the teams will face each other by the crossmatch method, the teams that dominate their opponents will have their names written in the quarterfinals. In the organization, the round of 16 and the quarterfinals will be played in Italy and Bulgaria. Italy will host the semifinals and the final.

The group matches will be played from August 28 to September 6, the last 16 rounds will be played from September 8 to 10, the quarterfinals will be played on September 11 and 12 and the semifinals will be played on September 14. . The match for third place and the final of the tournament will be played on September 16.
