Alcaraz skin party with Djokovic!

Djokovic wins men’s Cincinnati Masters Tennis Tournament

Serbian Novak Djokovic won the Cincinnati Masters Tennis Tournament in men’s singles, beating Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz 2-1.

In the men’s final of the hard court tournament held in Cincinnati, USA, number 1 seed Alcaraz faced second seed Djokovic.

The 20-year-old Alcaraz, who defeated Djokovic after 5 sets in the Wimbledon final last month, made the first set 7-5.

Djokovic, who won the second set at a tie break after converting match points and leveling the score, took the final set 7-6, which was also the scene of great controversy, and emerged victorious from the field.

Celebrating victory at the end of 3 hours and 50 minutes by ripping his jersey, Djokovic reached his third Cincinnati Masters championship after 2018 and 2020.

Djokovic, who won his fourth singles title this season and his 95th singles title, surpassed Ivan Lendl to become the men’s tennis player who has won the most tournaments in the open period after Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103). (AA)
