19 years of adventures come to an end! Kane’s new address…

Harry Kane signs for Bayern Munich for 120 million euros

Sources told ESPN that Tottenham striker Harry Kane has agreed to join Bayern Munich in a deal worth 120 million euros ($131 million).

The 30-year-old was expected to travel to Germany for a medical check before signing a four-year contract. But confusion reigned Friday morning when a last-minute disruption delayed travel plans.

Sources have told ESPN that Tottenham is looking to renegotiate some aspects of the transfer fee with Bayern. A source stated that they wanted a higher guarantee payment, but this was not confirmed.

Sources close to Tottenham moved to deny any problems with the transfer and insisted that Kane had permission to fly to Germany. But it turns out that Kane was waiting at a family home before he left the UK.

Earlier this month, ESPN announced that Bayern are ready to make an additional payment of up to €100m plus €20m, with the transfer being made at that price after Bayern reviewed the structure of the terms.

KANE TOTTENHAM TOGETHER IS OVER

Kane’s decision to leave concludes a long saga that ended his 19-year relationship with the Spurs.

Three of Bayern’s offers were rejected, giving him until last Friday to close the deal. But he made a fourth offer, which Tottenham reluctantly accepted, forcing Kane to decide his future.

News broke that the England captain was considering staying on to complete the final year of his contract after new manager Ange Postecoglou made a positive impression at the club, but Kane’s will to win the title was the deciding factor.

KANE WAS READY TO STAY BUT…

Not wanting the uncertainty to carry over into the season, Kane was willing to stay on if the two clubs failed to reach an agreement, but Kane opted to accept the transfer after Spurs accepted Bayern’s latest offer.

Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel was eager to bring Kane to Chelsea during his tenure at Stamford Bridge and has made it his main goal to lead his team’s attack as they bid for their 12th successive Bundesliga title.

Spurs were set to double Kane’s £200,000 weekly salary, but sources told ESPN that Kane has made it clear he has no intention of signing a new contract this summer, so if the club will risk losing him for free on next summer or 12 months before your current contract expires. He said he was deciding whether to take the last chance to accept a substantial fee for the remaining player.

Postecoglou will speak to the media later on Friday, ahead of Tottenham’s opening Premier League game against Brentford on Sunday.

Kane scored 213 Premier League goals, 48 goals short of Alan Shearer’s all-time record.
