The excitement of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 begins tomorrow

The biggest international FIFA Women’s World Cup in women’s football, which will be held for the ninth time this year, will begin tomorrow and end on August 20.

The teams that occupy the first two places in their groups will try to win the cup after the qualifying matches starting in the round of 16 and continuing until the final.

On the first day of the tournament, the host nations will take the field. In the opening match, New Zealand, who are in Group A, and Norway will meet tomorrow at 10:00 CEST at the 50,000 capacity Eden Park Stadium in Auckland City. In the other match, in Group B, Australia and the Republic of Ireland will meet at 13:00 CEST at the Australian Stadium in Sydney.

The tournament will be the scene of many firsts. In the organization that will be jointly hosted by more than one country for the first time, 32 teams instead of 24 will be on the field for the first time.

The champions of the last two tournaments, the USA, are among the favorite teams of this tournament. The United States, which has won the World Cup 4 times, is also the most successful team in the organization’s history. Germany, England, Spain and France are also among the ambitious teams for this championship.

The amount of prize money in this tournament will be the tournament record. FIFA, which will distribute 80 million dollars more than the previous championship, will distribute a total of 110 million dollars among the teams. In the cup, the team that wins the championship will receive $10 million and the finalist $7.5 million. (AA)
