The process of collective agreement for civil servants and retired civil servants begins
Negotiations will begin in August for the Public Collective Agreement of the Seventh Duration, which will determine the economic and social rights of approximately 4 million civil servants and 2.5 million retired civil servants in 2024-2025.
Memur-Sen, as an authorized confederation, will represent civil servants and civil servant retirees in month-long negotiations between the public employers’ committee and the civil servant unions.
Officer-Sen, the authoritative confederation at the collective bargaining table, will share its 120-item proposal, including pay increase rates and rental assistance, with the public on July 24.
MEMUR-SEN MEETS WITH THE BOARD OF PRESIDENTS
Memur-Sen, who accelerated his work a few days after the talks, met yesterday with the Enlarged Board of Presidents to determine the contract proposals and the road map to follow.
A total of 120 proposals were agreed upon at the meeting, of which 74 were new, 29 had to be protected and 17 were not resolved in the previous collective bargaining.
Memur-Sen, who will share his 120-item proposal, including rates of salary increase and rental assistance, with the public on July 24, will submit the proposal file to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security the same day.
OFFICER WILL BE REQUESTED FOR RENTAL ASSISTANCE
Memur-Sen Vice President Hacı Bayram Tonbul stated that they prepared their proposals taking into account the demands of the field and considering the scientific data, and stated that the proposal file was formed with the enlarged meeting of the Board of Presidents.
Emphasizing that the file containing their proposals includes items related to all civil servants and retirees, Tonbul noted that after the Memur-Sen Provincial Presidents’ Meeting on July 21, the number of items they proposed would exceed 120.
Noting that the main backbone of his proposals is salary and monthly increases for the years 2024-2025, Tonbul said, “In addition to salary increase rates, providing rental assistance to civil servants is one of the offers that we are interested We insist on this offer so that public employees can live in peace and prosperity with their families.”
‘WE WILL RESIST SOCIAL RIGHTS AS WELL AS THE SALARY INCREASE’
“However, we will discuss issues such as 3,600 additional indicators that will be given to all public servants who are promoted to the 1st grade and that the lowest salary of public servants expressed by our President is not less than the salary of the lowest public worker, said Tonbul, and continued as follows:
“We will insist on social rights as well as wage increases in negotiations.
In this direction, we incorporate the demands of all neglected groups, especially engineers, managers, supervisors, administrative services class in general and other technical personnel in our offer file, which has an inclusive content.
Considering the retired officials whose monthly increase expectations have not been met recently, we will bring to the contracting table proposals to increase the pensions of retirees”. (AA)
