Zippers on green and white T-shirts are a thing of the past. Vertical green stripes can be seen on Espen T-shirts.
Embossed symbols are attached to the timeline on the right side of the jersey: “They tell anecdotes from our club’s history and highlight our deep local and regional roots,” the statement said. For example, the Espenmoos motif is meant to honor tradition, while the silhouette of a father and child is meant to symbolize the loyalty of fans across generations.
“The carefully crafted 3D badge and the presence of all sponsors in white should be mentioned for the first time as new features on the lightweight, breathable jersey,” he continues. A double green stripe on a light gray background with black lettering was chosen for the away kit, complementing the home kit.
The association introduces a new theme of social media videos:
The team from St. Gallen will wear the jersey ahead of the opening of the season in today’s friendly against Villarreal, winners of the 2021 Europa League and fifth in Spain last season. The start is at 18:00.
In the first match of the Super League, St. Gallen will also face Basel at home on 22 July at 18:00.
