Novak Djokovic couldn’t hold back the tears

The final of the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament held in London, the capital of England, was the scene of a fight that will not be forgotten for a long time.

The fight between the world number 1 Spanish racket Carlos Alcaraz and the 2 seeded Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic lasted 4 hours and 42 minutes. The 20-year-old Alcaraz, who won the match 3-2, reached the championship for the first time at Wimbledon.

Novak Djokovic, who has 7 Wimbledon titles in his career, experienced his first experience in 10 years on Center Court. The Serbian racket, Wimbledon champion for the last four years, has lost the final for the first time since 2013 at Wimbledon. Novak Djokovic last lost to British tennis player Andy Murray in the Wimbledon final in 2013.

Couldn’t hold back the tears

Making statements after the match, Novak Djokovic could not control his tears.

Congratulating Carlos Alcaraz on reaching the championship, Djokovic said: “Carlos, congratulations to you and your team. I thought I would only have problems with you on the ground, but I think we will also face each other on the grass.”

Following his speech, Novak Djokovic, who came face to face with his family, could not hold back his tears.

CANNOT PARTICIPATE RECORD

By losing the Wimbledon final, Djokovic also missed the chance to equal the records of Roger Federer and Margaret Court. He couldn’t catch Roger Federer, who won 8 Wimbledon championships, or Margaret Court, who won 24 Grand Slam titles.

Novak Djokovic has 7 Wimbledon and 23 Grand Slam titles.
