Completed the 13th stage of the Tour de France
The Polish Michal Kwiatkowski of the Ineos Grenadiers team, in the 13th stage of 138 kilometers in length of the Tour de France, between the city of Chatillon-sur-Chalaronne and the Grand Colombier mountain, of the 110th most prestigious road cycling race, organized this year achieved first place.
On stage, Belgian Maxim Van Gils from the Lotto Dstny team came in second and Slovenian Tadej Pogacar from UAE Emirates came in third.
In the general classification, Dane Jonas Vingegaard of Jumbo-Visma retained the yellow jersey by holding the lead with a total time of 53 hours 48 minutes 50 seconds. Closing the gap to Vingegaard to 9 seconds, Pogacar took second place in the general classification.
The organization will continue tomorrow with the 152-kilometre stage between the town of Annemasse and the Morzine Les Portes du Soleil ski resort.
The tour will end in Paris, the capital of France, on Sunday, July 23, with the completion of 21 stages. (AA)
