FIFA imposed a transfer ban on Al-Nassr: the reason is Ahmed Musa from Sivasspor…
FIFA has banned Al-Nassr, the Saudi Arabian team Cristiano Ronaldo plays for, from registering new players. This ban will take effect before the start of the new season.
Ahmed Musa, who has played for Sivasspor since last year, was transferred from Leicester City to Al-Nassr for €16.50 million shortly after the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Although the Saudi team paid the transfer fee, it turned out that the additional fees due to Leicester were not paid.
Al-Nassr was ordered to pay 460,000 euros to Leicester as additional performance-based payments in accordance with the deal on the transfer of Ahmed Musa.
However, the club, one of the giants of Saudi Arabia, still did not abide by the CAS decision, so FIFA imposed a transfer ban on Al-Nassr before the new season.
PROHIBITED IF PAYMENT IS MADE
Still, Al-Nassr is expected to pay off his debts to Leicester before the start of the new season, in which case FIFA is likely to lift the ban.
Musa transferred to Al-Nassr in 2018 and played in 60 games for the club. The Nigerian footballer scored 11 goals and recorded 14 assists during his time at the club. He won the league championship in his first season and the Super Cup in his second year.
Ahmed Musa, 30, transferred to Fatih Karagümrük in 2021 and Sivasspor in 2022. Moses’ contract expires next summer.
