Saudi Minister’s invitation to Turkish contractors
Members of the Turkish Contractors Association (TMB) met with the delegation led by Majid Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities, Rural Affairs and Housing of Saudi Arabia.
According to the association’s statement, Turkish contractors, whose projects were interrupted in Russia due to the Russia-Ukraine War, accelerated their efforts to cover this loss with the Saudi Arabian market.
In this context, TMB welcomed the Saudi delegation headed by Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities, Rural Affairs and Housing of Saudi Arabia, to Ankara.
CONTRACTORS READY AND READY
The president of TMB, Erdal Eren, stated in his speech that they were delighted to receive the Saudi delegation after the recruitment committee’s visit to Riyadh in March.
Eren noted that guest minister Al-Hogail’s willingness to meet with Turkish contractors is an indication of his determination to further develop cooperation in this field.
Stating that contractors are ready and willing to engage in projects within the scope of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 vision, Eren said, “Many of our companies have completed the registration procedures required to operate in the country and have applied for qualification. We will be happy to contribute to the development programs of Saudi Arabia by participating in the housing and urban infrastructure projects that are planned to be implemented in the country.
‘THE NECESSARY CONVENIENCE WILL BE PROVIDED’
In his speech at the meeting, Minister Al-Hogail noted that within the scope of his country’s 2030 vision, more than $100 billion was allocated for projects related to municipalities and approximately $50 billion for housing projects.
Noting that Turkish contractors know their competencies and want to see more Turkish companies in these projects, Hogail stated that necessary convenience will be provided to these companies.
Al-Hogail invited Turkish contractor companies to the “Cityscape Global” real estate event to be held in Riyadh from September 10-13. (AA)
