24 million euros evaporated in three years at Paris Saint-Germai

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), champion of the last two years in the French Ligue 1, did not find stability in terms of the coach.

Working under three different coaches in the last three seasons, the Paris team decided to part ways with Christophe Galtier, though they eventually led the team to the championship. In order to succeed in the Champions League, PSG paid 24 million euros as compensation to their coaches who were unable to complete their contracts for three years.

PSG, who brought the German coach Thomas Tuchel to the helm of the team in 2018, changed coaches in December 2020. The Parisian representative, who terminated Thomas Tuchel’s contract, paid 8 million euros to the German coach.

Paris Saint-Germain, who signed Mauricio Pochettino in January 2021 after Thomas Tuchel, fired the Argentine coach after 6 months. Mauricio Pochettino, who worked half a season at PSG, received compensation of 10 million euros.

Finally, in July 2022, Christophe Galtier was appointed manager. Although the French coach managed to complete the season, he still did not remain in charge until the end of his contract. PSG also said goodbye to Christophe Galtier paying compensation of 6 million euros.
