Pep Guardiola: 48 hours after drinking all the alcohol in the city…
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said they consumed all the alcohol at Manchester City for his team’s championship celebrations.
Manchester City clinched the Premier League title last weekend and the victory celebrations gained momentum after beating Chelsea. Guardiola’s team lifted the trophy after the victory at the Etihad Stadium.
The celebrations lasted until Monday morning with the vast majority of the players making their way to MNKY HSE, a posh Manchester club. Erling Haaland entered the venue in sky blue silk pajamas and then sat down at the grill and cooked a steak.

“AFTER DRINK ALL THE ALCOHOL IN THE CITY…”
Speaking after Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Brighton, manager Guardiola described the party and hinted that his team had left nothing to drink in Manchester. He also praised his team for his professionalism at AMEX Stadium:
“An outstanding match. I wish Brighton the best of luck in the Europa League for their hard work. After drinking all the alcohol in town, we behaved for 48 hours and showed everyone why we were champions.”
“WE MUST REST ALL WEEK”
Asked if the match against Brighton was a good test for both the Champions League final and the FA Cup, Pep Guardiola replied: “It sure was, this time Brighton destroyed their other opponents. We had problems especially in the last 10 or 15 minutes, but we did very well.
“We cannot lower the momentum. I didn’t see him against Chelsea, I didn’t see him today either. During the week we need to rest and recover mentally. Playing for Bayern Munich, Real Madrid for the last six months and chasing Arsenal has been quite a challenge. Right now, the workouts are just relaxing.”
Manchester City will conclude the Premier League season with an away game against Brentford and then take on arch-rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final. In the Champions League final, the Italian giants will face Inter Milan.
