The BRSA has modified the Regulation on “Remote Identification Methods to be Used by Banks and the Establishment of a Contractual Relationship in the Electronic Environment”, which allows you to become a bank customer in a completely digital environment.

In accordance with the change published in today’s edition of the Official Gazette, legal entities registered in the trade registry, such as limited liability companies and corporations, will be able to open bank accounts through video calls.

Information such as registered company representatives, company title and registration number will be verified online, without the need for physical documents and wet signatures.

With the entry into force of the regulatory change, companies will be able to access banking services more quickly and comfortably, and the process of attracting customers from digital banks that do not have physical branches and will only attend electronically will be ready.

According to the change, the remote identification of the companies will be carried out through online video calls and communication between them, without the need for the representative and the bank employee to be in the same environment, based on the request of the representative of the company received through an electronic form.
