The FC Schaffhausen team is in 7th place in the Challenge League and is therefore far away from promotion spots. This is not a dream for 46-year-old Hakan Yakin, the former head coach of the club.
Yakin has been absent from the touchline for the past two games and will not return, according to an official statement from FC Schaffhausen. An immediate end is Yakin’s wish. “For personal reasons, the ex-internationalist asked 87 times to immediately stop cooperation,” the statement says.
President Roland Klein explains: “Over the past four years, Hakan has gone from being an assistant coach to making his debut as a head coach. He started training with us for the UEFA Pro license, which he will soon complete. Both sides could benefit from cooperation. We thank him for his contribution to the FCS and wish Hakan Yakin all the best and every success in his future coaching duties.”
