World number 5 Greek racket Stefanos Tsitsipas, whose match was played yesterday due to heavy rain and was completed today, defeated Portuguese racket Nuno Borges 2-0 with 6-3 in the second round match and advanced to the third round.

Seventh-seeded Holger Rune of Denmark defeated host country Fabio Fognini 6-4, 6-2, 2-0 in the third round match and made his mark in the next round.

Italian Jannik Sinner, the eighth seed, also defeated Russian racket Alexander Shevchenko 6-3, 6-7(4) 6-2 in the third round match 2-1 and advanced to the next round. .

Seventh seed Cossack Elena Rybakina was ahead 4-3 against Russian racket Anna Kalinskaya in the third round bout when her opponent withdrew from the match.
