Zelensky meets Macron in Paris

French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy met in Paris.

In a joint written statement made by the Elysee Palace on Macron and Zelenskiy’s meeting in Paris, which lasted about 3 hours, it was claimed that the two leaders condemned the war between Ukraine and Russia. Emphasizing that Russia must immediately and unconditionally withdraw its military forces from the territory of Ukraine, it was stated that France and Ukraine also called on Russia to withdraw from the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

The statement stressed that France is committed to Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Noting that the Paris administration will continue its political, financial, humanitarian and military support to Ukraine for as long as necessary, the statement says that France will train many battalions in the coming weeks and equip them with dozens of armored vehicles and light tanks, including also noted. the AMX 10-RC type light combat tanks.

It was also noted in the statement that the Paris administration focused its efforts on “supporting Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.”

It was reported that France had sent 2 DNA labs to Ukraine earlier and supported Ukraine’s peace plan. Referring to Ukraine’s and France’s call for new sanctions against Russia, the statement said that France stressed the importance of Ukraine’s efforts to continue the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

In the statement, it was stated that the future of Ukraine and its people belongs to the European family, and that France supports the NATO-Ukraine Commission. (AA)
