Drug scandal at Bayern! ecstasy and methamphetamine

Jason George’s doping test reveals drugs

German basketball was rocked by a drug scandal before the start of the playoffs. Jason George, 21, on loan from FC Bayern to the Chemnitz 99ers over the winter, was found to be a banned stimulant in a doping test after the Rostock game on April 2. This was confirmed to the MDR by the Nada Anti-Doping Agency.

Incredibly, George’s urine found traces of drugs called ecstasy and methamphetamine, according to the BILD information.

A source from the Chemnitz club did not confirm this to BILD, but told BILD: “You can’t be stupid enough to keep taking these substances.”

4 YEARS OF PENALTY ON THE ROAD

Jason George has been suspended from playing in the Play-offs. The player could face a 4-year ban worldwide for attempting to void the doping test.

This situation endangered the brilliant career of the young actor. George was a player with a contract with FC Bayern until 2026. In February he made his debut for the German national team. FC Bayern and the Chemnitz 99ers declined to comment on the incident, citing ongoing litigation.

However, it turned out that the drug mix used as a performance enhancer did not affect George’s performance. In the 69-71 loss to Rostock, George did not do well on all five shots on goal.
