Morocco will not participate in the Africa Cup!
In a written statement from the Moroccan Football Federation, it was stated that the national team players were preparing to travel to Algeria for the African Nations Football Championship on January 10, but the flight of the Moroccan Airlines plane to the Constantine city airport was not allowed.
In the statement it was indicated that the staff of the national team could not travel to Algeria due to the lack of a flight permit and, therefore, it was noted that the Moroccan National Team will not participate in the African Nations Football Championship.

This year Algeria will host the African Nations Football Championship, which was held for the first time in 2009. The tournament, in which the national teams of 18 African countries participate, will begin tomorrow with the Algeria-Libya match and will end on the 4th of February.
The Moroccan authorities, whose diplomatic relations with Algeria are broken, ordered Algeria to open its airspace to the plane that will take the team to Constantine, where the group stage matches will be played.
With the suspension of diplomatic relations between Algeria and Morocco, the two countries mutually closed their airspaces to civil and military flights from September 22, 2021. (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
