Since Wiersma took office as minister of primary and secondary education, he is said to have been shot multiple times. Several employees reportedly quit as a result, officials say.
“Instructive Conversations”
The ministry does not contradict that officials packed their bags for this reason. “On his initiative, the minister started talks with the organization at the end of last year,” says his spokesman. “Good and instructive conversations ensued and the minister will continue with those conversations.”
