Turnout in major cities has so far been higher than in 2019
18:33 | More people have so far voted for the provincial council in the major cities than in the previous election four years ago. In Amsterdam, the turnout at 18.00 was 34.6%. In 2019, in that period, 24.5 percent of the capital’s residents voted.
In Rotterdam, the turnout around 18:00 is almost 32%. It was 30.7 percent at that time in 2019. In The Hague, 37.5 percent have voted so far (34.5 percent in 2019). In Utrecht the turnout is not available due to a malfunction.
In Eindhoven, around 6 pm, the counter stood at 39.2 percent, in Groningen at 46.4 percent and in Nijmegen at 45.1 percent. Even smaller municipalities report that voter turnout is higher than in 2019.
TikTok punishes Baudet after breaking the rules
