Natural gas shipment from Russia to China will reach 100 billion cubic meters
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak said that 22 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be sent to China through the pipeline this year, saying: “Work continues on the Power of Siberia 2 pipeline project, which will pass through Mongolia. . “As a result, the total natural gas shipment volume to China will reach approximately 100 billion cubic meters,” he said.
Novak made assessments about the Russian energy sector in his speech at the Russian Federation Council.
Noting that they have reduced foreign dependence on imports of technical equipment in the Russian fuel and energy sector, Novak said: “I would like to talk about the issue of technological sovereignty. We achieve this effectively in the fuel and energy sector. “In the last 10 years we have managed to reduce the industry’s import dependence from 67 percent to 38 percent,” he said.
DIESEL EXPORT BAN CAN BE ELIMINATED
Recalling that Russia lifted the gasoline export ban last week, Novak said they plan to lift the diesel export ban soon.
Regarding Russian gas shipments to China, Novak said: “We plan to reach a volume of 22 billion cubic meters starting this year.”
Novak noted that the Power of Siberia pipeline on the route in question has a capacity of 38 billion cubic meters and said: “We will reach this capacity in 2025. Work continues on the Power of Siberia 2 pipeline project, which will pass through Mongolia . “As a result, the total natural gas shipment volume to China will reach approximately 100 billion cubic meters,” he said.
