TESK bonus application for retired traders whose tax record has been removed
Bendevi Palandöken, president of the Confederation of Turkish Traders and Craftsmen (TESK), said that retired traders whose tax records have been expunged should also benefit from the 5,000 lira bonus given to retirees.
In his written statement, Palandöken evaluated the one-time bonus of 5,000 lira granted to non-working retirees.
Drawing attention to the demands of retired merchants and craftsmen, Palandöken said:
“Retired merchants and artisans who have canceled their tax registration but are still registered with the chambers and who do not actively practice their profession should also benefit from this right. Our members are the group that retires paying the highest amount of premiums out of pocket and receives the lowest pension. While SSK employees retire in 7,200 days at most, our members retire in 9,000 days by working 16 to 18 hours a day and paying the premium out of pocket. In these circumstances, first of all, this bonus should be granted to merchants and artisans without any discrimination.” (AA)
