US debt program announced
The US Treasury Department announced that it will sell bonds worth $112 billion with maturities of 3, 10 and 30 years.
In the Ministry’s statement it was indicated that 3 bond auctions will be held next week.
The statement indicates that on November 7, bonds worth 48 billion dollars with a maturity of 3 years will be issued, on November 8, bonds with a maturity of 10 years for an amount of 40 billion dollars and bonds maturing in 30 years. annual maturity of $24 billion on November 9.
The statement states that in total $112 billion in government bonds will be sold and that the issuance will generate approximately $9.8 billion in new cash.
The statement states that it is planned to continue increasing the auction amounts gradually from November to January 2024, in line with the expected medium and long-term borrowing needs. (AA)
