Noting that lemons sold for 7.8 times more, onions for 3.3 times more, lettuce for 3.1 times more, parsley and red lentils for 3 times more and apples for 2.9 times more , Bayraktar shared the following information:
“The lemon, which costs 2 liras and 10 kurus at the manufacturer, is sold for 16 liras and 44 kurus, the onion, which costs 3 liras and 94 kurus, is sold for 13 liras and 16 kurus, the lettuce, which costs 7 lira and 71 kurus, is sold for 24 lira and 28 kurus, parsley, which costs 3 lira and 61 kurus, is sold for 10 lira and 84 kurus, and 17 lira and 50 cents. “Red lentils, which cost 11 cents, were sold on the market for 52 lire and 11 cents, and apples, which cost 9 lire and 50 cents, were sold on the market for 27 lire and 68 cents.”

After noting that the increase in the price of tomatoes was followed by dried figs with 23.7 percent, green lentils with 17 percent, chickpeas with 16.1 percent and dried beans with 13.9 percent, Bayraktar stated that the product whose price decreased the most in the market was spinach with 26.3 percent, stating that this product was followed by hazelnuts with 21.4 percent, green beans with 18 percent, onions with 17.6 percent. cent and lemon with 15.9 percent.
Bayraktar stated that while there was a price increase in 9 out of 29 products in October, there was a price decrease in 16 products and no price changes in 4 products, and said:
“The price of lemon, which last month was 4 lira and 46 kuruş for the producer, decreased by 52.9 percent to 2 lira and 10 kuruş. In the markets, it decreased from 19 lira 55 kuruş to 16 lira 44 kuruş. The decrease in the price of lemon was followed by spinach with 49.8 percent, green onions with 43.8 percent, green beans with 27.5 percent and onion with 18.1 percent . REASONS FOR PRICE CHANGES
Bayraktar also referred to the reasons for the change in producer prices and stated that the increase in supply of the early Mayer variety in lemon caused a decrease in lemon prices.
