Parliament’s 2024 budget discussion schedule announced

The schedule of the month-long discussions in the Planning and Budget Commission of the Central Government Budget Bill for 2024, which was presented to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, has been announced.

Negotiations on the Central Government Budget Bill 2024 will begin on October 20 at the GNAT Planning and Budget Commission. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will present the budget proposal. General budget discussions will then take place on Thursday, October 26. The negotiations, which are expected to last approximately 1 month in committee, are scheduled to conclude on Friday, November 24.

According to the calendar; On October 27, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the Ombudsman Institution, the Court of Accounts, on October 31, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, on November 1, the Ministry of Commerce, on November 2 , the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, on November 3, Ministry of Youth and Sports, on November 7, Ministry of Industry and Technology on November 8, Ministry of the Interior on November 8, Ministry of Health on November 9 , Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change on November 10. November, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on November 13, Ministry of National Education on November 14, Ministry of National Education on November 15 Ministry of Culture and Tourism on November 16, Ministry of National Defense on November 16, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources on November 17, Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 20, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on November 21, Family and Social Services on November 22. The budgets of the Ministry of Justice will be discussed on November 23 and the budgets of the Presidency will be discussed on November 24. (DHA)
