Biotrend Enerji is negotiating share sale with UAE’s Multiply
According to Bloomberg news by Kerim Karakaya and Aslı Kandemir, Biotrend, which operates in the fields of energy production, waste management and carbon trading in Turkey, is in talks with Abu Dhabi-based Multiply Group, for the sale of shares.
According to sources close to the matter, negotiations are at an advanced stage, but the size and value of the possible deal has not yet been clarified.
Biotrend and Multiply Group did not comment on the matter.
In a news story published by Bloomberg last month, it was reported that Masdar, a renewable energy producer based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), was in talks to buy shares in Fiba Renewable Energy.
The United Arab Emirates had committed to investing $51 billion in Turkey. It was reported that approximately $30 billion of that amount would be allocated to the energy sector.
