The Treasury borrowed 14.1 billion lira
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed a total of 14 billion 82.2 million lira in two bond auctions held today.
In the first auction, zero-coupon government bonds maturing in 12 months (364 days) were reissued. In the tender, the simple interest was 26.35 and the compound interest was 26.35.
In the tender where the nominal bid was 3.33 billion liras, the nominal sales were 1.3 billion liras and the net sales were 815.2 million liras.
In the tender, in which the entire public offer of 1.5 billion lira was fulfilled, an offer of 51 million lira was received from market makers and 30 million lira was sold to this segment.
In the second auction, fixed coupon government bonds with a maturity of 5 years (1736 days) and a coupon payment of 8.65 percent every 6 months were reissued. In the tender, the simple interest was 28.54 percent and the compound interest was 30.57 percent.
In the tender where the nominal bid was 18 billion 28.1 million lira, the nominal sales were 10 billion 578.1 million lira and the net sales were 7 billion 987 million lira.
In the tender, in which no offers were received from the public, offers from market makers worth 5,706 million lire were received and 3,750 million lire were sold to this sector.
Thus, the Treasury borrowed a total of 14 billion 82.2 million lire in two tenders. (AA)
