Pension declaration of the Minister of Labor
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan said that necessary measures to improve pensions will be taken at the beginning of the year.
Minister Işıkhan, who visited the AKP Gaziantep Provincial Presidency, stated in his speech that the cities in the earthquake zone have entered the recovery process.
Işıkhan said: “As our president announced at the beginning of the week, we announced the decision of our 5,000 lira payment covering 12.2 million pensioners. Hopefully at the beginning of the year we will reassess the situation in terms of improvements to be made in salaries and take the necessary measures. “I wish you good luck once again from here.” he said.
While millions of retirees have not received a salary increase of 7,500 TL for 7 months, the promise of an increase with the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on October 1 was not fulfilled.
For the first time in history, a distinction was made between working and non-working retirees, and it was announced that a one-time payment of 5,000 TL would be made to non-working retirees in early November.
