Villa tourism, which started in the district about 15 years ago and became especially popular during the Covid-19 epidemic, has become a growing sector every year.
The luxury villas, registered with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and offering 5-star comfort, happily closed the season.

Villa tourism operator Özgür Önder told AA journalist that villa tourism is an instrument of the alternative tourism sector.
Önder explained that honeymoon couples, nuclear families, groups of friends or family are offered vacation opportunities in different concepts with sea and nature views for 2 to 12 people, “99 percent of the villas in Kaş They are houses built for tourist purposes. There are villas that offer different services such as jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, cinema and games room. “Businesses here have become more professional.” he said.
Villa prices range from 17,000 to 20,000 lira for 7 nights for 2 people, from 20,000 to 40,000 lira for 4-5 people and from 35,700 to 100,000 lira for 8-10 people between June 20 and 15. September, which is considered high season, Önder pointed out that the villa tourism season started in April and continues.

Önder highlighted that interest in villa tourism has increased especially after the global epidemic and stated that those who want a private pool, a house, a sauna and prefer a secluded holiday, are more aware of villa tourism after this period .
Önder stated that they had a good season: “The price of overnight stays increased every year because families and children left happy. This year was also good, we could not respond to last minute demands, we did not have free rooms in the high season, even in September there were free rooms in some houses.” he made the assessment of it.
Önder stated that villa tourism also contributes significantly to employment in the region.
Önder stated that the region’s cafes have been replaced by businesses serving tourism: “The local population became entrepreneurs or started working in villas. As guest density increased, the number of businesses such as markets, cafes, and breakfast rooms also increased. “There has been a serious economic cycle in the district.” he said.
INCREASES TO 200 THOUSAND TL PER WEEK
Tourism professional Suat Dönmez said they have been doing villa rental business for 6 years and have seen a very significant demand, especially this year.
Dönmez stated that villa tourism has become popular in Kaş and stated that the occupancy rate is close to 100 percent despite the end of the summer season.
Stating that there is interest in villa tourism even in the winter season, Dönmez continued his words as follows:
“Due to the war, in the winter season there was great demand from Russians and Ukrainians and the occupancy rate reached 60 percent. We couldn’t meet the demands during the summer season, we had a very busy summer season. Those who made advance reservations were able to enjoy a vacation, while those who left it until the last minute had difficulty finding a villa. There are villa options for all budgets. “Their weekly salary varies between 25,000 and 200,000 lire.”
