Gaye Erkan to meet investors in Marrakech
Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan will meet with investment banks, international investment funds and central bank presidents at the annual meetings of the World Bank and IMF, which she will attend between October 11 and 13.
The annual meetings of the World Bank and the IMF will be held in Marrakech, Morocco. The meeting will also be attended by Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet ÅžimÅŸek.
A source briefing Reuters said Erkan’s agenda included meetings with Blackrock, JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and other central bank governors.
CBRT did not comment on the matter.
The economic leadership also held investor meetings in the US last month to reverse the outflow of foreign investment that has been occurring for years. The meetings will continue today in London.
While the economic leadership claims that the process will lead to an increase in fund flows to Turkey, foreign investors have also recently become more interested in Turkish markets. (REUTERS)
