Central Bank Governor Erkan to make presentation at Turkey’s Grand National Assembly
Central Bank Governor (CBRT) Hafize Gaye Erkan will make a presentation to the GNAT Planning and Budget Commission on October 3.
Erkan is expected to make a presentation to members of parliament at the Commission that will meet on October 3, under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Planning and Budget Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and AKP Samsun MP Mehmet MuÅŸ .
Under the CBRT Law, the President must report to the Planning and Budget Commission of the GNAT on the Bank’s monetary policy activities and practices.
KKM AND INTEREST ISSUANCE WILL BE HIGHLIGHTED
Central Bank Governor Erkan is expected to make a presentation within the framework of global developments, the Turkish economy, inflation and monetary policy.
The CBRT’s recent decisions regarding interest and application of the Protected Exchange Deposit (KKM), as well as inflation-related developments, are expected to be the prominent topics of the meeting.
Erkan is scheduled to go to the Turkish Grand National Assembly and give information on the legal regulations regarding the Central Bank. (AA)
