Inflation in the eurozone was 5.2 percent in August

Inflation in the eurozone was estimated in August at 5.2 percent annually.
The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) published the final inflation data for the European Union (EU) and the Euro Zone for August.

According to the data, annual inflation in the euro zone, which was 5.3 percent in July, was 5.2 percent in August.

Inflation in the eurozone in July was 0.5 percent compared to the previous month.

In euro zone flash data, August inflation was announced at 5.3 percent annually and 0.6 percent monthly. The final data was lower than the preliminary data.

EU INFLATION

In the EU, annual inflation, which was 6.1 percent in July, stood at 5.9 percent in August.

Inflation was 9.1 percent in the eurozone and 10.1 percent in the EU in August 2022.

2.41 percent of inflation in the eurozone came from services, 1.98 percent from food, alcohol and tobacco, and 1.19 percent from non-energy industrial products.

INFLATION RATES OF COUNTRIES

Annual inflation in August was 14.2 percent in Hungary, 10.1 percent in the Czech Republic, 9.6 percent in Slovakia, 9.5 percent in Poland and 9.3 percent in Romania.

During that period, inflation was 6.4 percent in Germany, 5.7 percent in France and 5.5 percent in Italy. (AA)
