BRSA to TRNC Installment Travel Decision
The Banking Regulation and Supervision Board (BDDK), which prohibits installment payments with credit cards on international expenses related to flights, travel and accommodation, has made a new decision regarding travel to the TRNC.
According to the decision published on the Board’s website, 3 installments will be maintained for travel expenses to the TRNC.

The statement made recalled the decision taken on July 31 not to make quotas on international expenses related to airlines, travel agencies and accommodation in accordance with the seventh paragraph of article 26 of the Bank Card and Credit Card Regulations and stated:
“From 31 July 2023, it was decided not to apply the expenses related to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and to continue to apply the payment periods for 3 months on such expenses.”
On July 31, the Board had prohibited installment payments for expenses abroad related to airlines, travel agencies and accommodation.
