Inflation of agricultural inputs fell to 27.7 percent in June

Agricultural input price index (Agriculture-GFE) as of June 2023 is 3.46 percent compared to the previous month, 13.82 percent compared to December of the previous year, 27.70 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and according to twelve-month averages, there was an increase of 77.36 percent.

Compared with the previous month, the index of goods and services used in agriculture increased 3.24 percent and the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment increased 4.85 percent in the main groups. Compared with the same month of the previous year, the index of goods and services used in agriculture increased by 23.06 percent and the index of goods and services that contribute to agricultural investment increased by 67.65 percent.

According to the annual Agri-GFE, 2 subgroups showed lower variation and 9 subgroups showed higher variation.

The subgroups with the highest annual increase were materials with 78.75 percent and other goods and services with 74.00 percent, respectively. The only subgroup that showed a decrease compared to the same month of the previous year was that of energy and fats with 12.85 percent.

According to the monthly Agri-GFE, 6 subgroups showed less variation and 5 subgroups showed more variation.

The subgroups with a low increase in the previous month were fertilizers and soil improvers with 0.78 percent and seeds and planting materials with 1.50 percent, respectively. For their part, the subgroups with the highest monthly increase were veterinary expenses with 9.41 percent and energy and fats with 8.90 percent, respectively.
