Producer inflation in agriculture increased considerably in July

The producer price index of agricultural products (Agriculture-IPP) increased 8.03 percent in July 2023 compared to the previous month, increased 35.14 percent compared to December of the previous year, increased 62.48 percent with respect to the same month of the previous year and Compared to the averages of two months, there was an increase of 102.10 percent.

In the sectors with respect to the previous month, there was an increase of 6.84 percent in forestry products and related services, an increase of 8.01 percent in agricultural and hunting products and related services, and an increase of 10, 16 percent in fish and other fishing products.

Compared to the previous month, there was a 3.00 percent increase in live animals and animal products, an 8.04 percent increase in year-old herbal products, and a 16.63 percent increase in percent on perennial herbal products in the main groups.

VEGETABLES AND BLOOD-MELON ARE IN FIRST RANK IN ANNUAL INCREASE

According to the annual Agri-PPI, 3 subgroups showed lower changes and 8 subgroups showed higher changes.

The subgroups with low annual increase were textile plants with 11.33 percent and cereals (excluding rice), legumes and oilseeds with 17.99 percent, respectively. On the other hand, the subgroups with the highest annual increase were vegetables and melon-watermelon, roots and tubers with 108.92 percent, and live birds and eggs with 90.79 percent, respectively.

According to the monthly IPP-Agromonthly, 7 subgroups showed minor changes and 4 subgroups showed major changes.

The subgroups with the highest monthly increase were pome and stone fruits with 12.62 percent, and vegetables and melon-watermelon, roots and tubers with 12.51 percent. The only subgroup that showed a decrease compared to the previous month was rice with 0.45 percent.

In July 2023, of 87 items included in the index, the average price of 21 items decreased and the average price of 59 items increased.
