The number of salaried employees decreased in June
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the statistics of paid employees for June 2023.
According to this; The total number of paid employees in the industry, construction, and service trade sectors increased by 2.2 percent in June 2023 compared to the same month a year earlier. While the number of wage earners was 14,611,038 people in the same month of the previous year, it rose to 14,925,783 people in June 2023.
Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In June 2023, the number of paid employees decreased by 0.4% in the industrial sector, increased by 6.9% in the construction sector, and increased by 2.8% in the commercial services sector.

The total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and service trade sectors decreased by 0.3 percent in June 2023 compared to the previous month.

Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In June 2023, salaried workers decreased by 0.8 percent in the industrial sector and 1.1 percent in the construction sector, and increased by 0.1 percent in the commercial and service sector.
