House prices rose 103.6 percent in one year
The Central Bank (CBRT) announced the House Price Index (KFE) for May 2023.
Consequently, the KPI, which increased 3.6% in May 2023 compared to the previous month, increased 103.6% compared to the same month last year.
It should be noted that the provinces with the highest annual change were Zonguldak, Karabük and Bartın in May.
KARABUK, ZONGULDAK AND BARTIN RETURN TO THE HEAD
These three provinces, where the housing price index was 147 percent annually in April, stood out as the provinces with the greatest variation, although it fell to 135 percent in May.
Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ followed with 125.5 percent and Ağrı, Ardahan, Kars and Iğdır with 120.8 percent.
PRICES PER SQUARE METER IN THE COUNTRY INCREASED TO 23 THOUSAND 573 TL
The price per square meter of a house in Turkey increased to TL 23,573 as of May. In other words, the average cost of a 100-square-meter house across the country has reached 2,357,300 TL.
In April, the average cost of a 100 square meter house across the country was 2.2 million TL.
While the prices per square meter in Ankara increased to 17 thousand 647 TL as of May; It rose to 27 thousand 89 TL in İzmir.
AN AVERAGE HOUSE IN ISTANBUL EXCEEDS 3.6 MILLION TL
In Istanbul, while prices per square meter were 35,114 TL in April, this amount increased to 36,044 TL in May.
While the cost of a 100 square meter house in Istanbul was 3.5 million TL in April, it exceeded 3.6 million TL in May.
