The Telecom KPN group acquires the Dutch activities of Youfone for approximately 200 million euros. Youfone is already active on KPN’s networks and has more than 540,000 customers.
According to KPN, Youfone will continue to operate independently within KPN. The company says the acquisition significantly strengthens KPN’s position in the mobile and broadband markets.
“Youfone is a fast-growing and exciting telecommunications provider with a distinctive brand that KPN is happy to add to its portfolio, alongside its other brands such as XS4ALL, Solcon and Simyo,” it said in a statement.
