Retail sales increased in March
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the retail sales indices for March 2023.
Consequently, the volume of retail sales at constant prices increased 28.6 percent in March 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco rose 17 percent, sales of non-food items (excluding auto fuel) 38 percent, and auto fuel sales 17.8 percent.
Retail sales volume at constant prices increased 7.3 percent in March 2023 compared to the previous month.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco decreased by 0.2%, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) increased by 12.1%, and sales of auto fuels increased by 3. 8%.
RETAIL BILLING INCREASED 8.6 PERCENT MONTHLY
Retail billing at current prices increased by 88.9 percent in March 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco rose 96.1 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) 108.8 percent, and auto fuel sales 28. 7 percent.
Retail billing at current prices increased 8.6 percent in March 2023 compared to the previous month.
