Industrial production fell in March
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) published industrial production data for March. Consequently, industrial production decreased by 0.1 percent annually in March.
When the industry subsectors are analyzed (2015=100 years of reference), in March 2023 the extractive sector index decreased 10.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, the manufacturing industry index increased 1, 4 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 7.8 percent.
Industrial production rose 5.5 percent monthly.
