Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, ruled on the allegations of a provisional increase in the minimum wage.

Bilgin said: “There is nothing on our agenda regarding an interim increase in the minimum wage. If the downward trend in inflation continues in July, there will be no need to reassess the minimum wage, it is not on our agenda in the moment.”
As of January 1, 2023, the minimum wage was determined at TL 8,506.80 net.
Minister Bilgin said that the increase in pensions of more than 7 thousand 500 TL is not on the agenda.
After the decision to increase the lowest pension to 7,500 TL, an increase was expected for those who receive more than this figure.
