Destici’s urban amnesty proposal awaits in Parliament
Responding to questions from journalists after a press conference he held at Turkey’s Grand National Assembly, BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici said in his February 16 statement: “First of all, as BBP, we are in principle against all zoning amnesties. Destici said: “We did not vote ‘yes’ to any of them. We have always said and expressed that land use plans must be carefully elaborated and meticulous regulations. We have never offered a ‘zoning amnesty’. It is ignorance to express our request for an urban regulation regarding the elimination of the grievances in the previous urban peace, the public damage, and the registration of the arrangement in urban matters, as a new urban amnesty. We know what we are saying. No one should abuse her. You should not confuse what he gave with what is ours”.
CALL ‘LEAVE OFFER’
Although there was no call for Destici to withdraw the zoning amnesty bill granted to Destici in October after the major earthquake disaster, the bill is still pending in Parliament.
