The number of wage earners increased in December
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the statistics of paid employees for December 2022.
Consequently, the total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and service trade sectors increased by 7.2 percent in December 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year.
While the number of wage earners was 13,797,768 people in the same month of the previous year, it rose to 14,792,228 people in December 2022.
Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In December 2022, the number of paid employees increased 6.7 percent in the industrial sector, 9.2 percent in the construction sector, and 7.1 percent in the commercial and service sector.

LIMITED INCREASE MONTHLY

Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In December 2022, salaried workers increased 0.4 percent in the industrial sector, 1.6 percent in the construction sector, and 0.5 percent in the commercial and service sector.
